The Develop Industry Excellence Awards 2008 were sponsored by Enlighten, and included in this package was a competition open to everyone at the awards ceremony, with the first prize an iPod Touch. The competition involved identifying 5 films from screenshots, and was thought to be quite tough. But despite this we had over 30 sets of completely correct answers, and after a draw of the correct entrants the winner was Lisa Harding.
Lisa
Harding (opposite) works with a number of developers and publishers
in the North West. Her work informs regional economic strategies,
policies and initiatives to support and help grow the games industry
in the North West. The Agency is currently working with Skillset,
DBERR, DCMS, TIGA, ELSPA and industry to develop a National Centre
of Excellence for Games. She said she was 'thrilled' to have one.
Chris Doran stated 'I was warned by Simon Harvey (of BHPR) that the competition was too difficult this year. But I felt I had a good understanding of the people working in the industry, and the number of correct answers confirmed what I thought. Congratulations to Lisa, and well done to everyone who entered correctly'.
