GEOMERICS AT SIGGRAPH 2011
ENLIGHTEN CHOSEN FOR REAL-TIME LIVE! EVENT
Geomerics have been selected by an international jury to showcase Enlighten at the Real-Time Live! event at SIGGRAPH 2011. Real-Time Live! is the premiere showcase for the latest trends and techniques for pushing the boundaries of interactive visuals.
Geomerics will be demonstrating their CUDA-enhanced version of Enlighten, debuted at GDC 2011. The purpose of this demonstration is to show just what Enlighten is capable of on the next generation of hardware.
CUDA is NVIDIA's programmable parallel computing architecture. For a wide class of problems CUDA can provide dramatic increases in computing performance by harnessing the power of the GPU. CUDA is a perfect fit for Enlighten, enabling all lighting updates to be performed on the GPU in a few milliseconds.
