Gary Lewis CEOGary Lewis Gary Lewis is a respected ambassador and spokesperson amongst industry leaders in games software, hardware and retail environments and is regularly a key speaker at industry conferences and events. Gary has 14 years experience in Sales and Marketing Management in the games industry and was most recently Global COO of Take Two. From 1993-1997 Gary was European sales director at Gametek and held management responsibility for the development of Gametek from a start-up company to a top ten software publisher.

Chris Doran COO Chris DoranCOO and Founder Dr Chris Doran is a leading research scientist with over 15 years experience in applied mathematics and theoretical physics. He is the author of a major book on geometry and physics and of over 50 papers. Chris is a regular speaker at major international conferences. Chris was an EPSRC Advanced Fellow from 1999 to 2004 and is a Director of Studies for Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. In 2003 he was a finalist in the Joint Research Council Business Plan competition, and was made a Royal Society of Edinburgh Enterprise Fellow in 2004. In 2008 Chris was named one of the 25 people reshaping game development by Develop Magazine.

Julian Davis CTO Julian Davis Before joining Geomerics Julian Davis was Technical Director of Kuju Entertainment, one of Europe's largest independent game developers, there Julian spent 10 years driving the development of Kuju's game technology and overseeing the creation of more than 25 games. Julian has been a major contributor the Microsoft graphics steering group (Graphics Advisory Board) and the Xbox Advisory Board. Julian graduated from the University of Sussex in 1989, and has also worked in operating system development.

Chris DeeringChris DeeringChris Deering has been involved with film, video and interactive entertainment in Europe since 1982, initailly as Vice President- International for Atari game consoles and computers, and subsequently as Executive Vice President and COO for Columbia Pictures International Video, and from 1995 to 2005 as President of Sony Computer Entertainment - Europe (SCEE). At SCEE he lead the team that has sold over 80 million consoles and facilitated the sale of over 1 billion games. Most of SCEE's original management team, set up by Chris, remains at the core of PlayStation leadership, now including the management of Sony's worldwide game development studios. Chris now serves on the boards of Codemasters, In Game Advertising, HandHeld Learning Ltd, Jalipo and Wayfinder, and is an advisor for Jetix Europe, PlaySpan and Text Appeal. Chris is also Chairman of the Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival.

Ian Griffiths Ian GriffithsIan Griffiths has a BSc in Mathematics with Management Applications from Brunel University and is qualified as a chartered accountant. For seven years he worked for KPMG, initially in accountancy (1986 to 1990), then in management consulting (1990 to 1993) within KPMG's High Technology Consulting Group where he specialised in financial modelling, business planning, corporate finance, market development and strategy work. As well as leading the finance function at ANGLE, he has been closely involved with the development and delivery of the UK, US and Middle East Consulting and Management businesses and in developing new Ventures and supporting Progeny companies. After a career break he joined ANGLE in 1995.

Andrew Newland Andrew NewlandAndrew Newland is the founder of ANGLE and Group Chief Executive. He has an MA in Engineering Science from the University of Cambridge, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. After working with the engineering conglomerate, TI plc, he worked for KPMG from 1982 to1994; from 1985 to 1987 he was based in the US as a manager providing corporate finance and business advice to high technology firms in the area around Route 128, Boston, Massachusetts. From 1987 to 1994 he worked in the UK in KPMG's UK and European High Technology Consulting Group. Mr Newland founded ANGLE in 1994.

Dr Michael Hobson Mike HobsonDr Michael Hobson is a University Reader in Astrophysics. He is the author of a best-selling mathematics textbook and is a world authority on inverse problems, Bayesian methods, data analysis, and image reconstruction. Dr Hobson has also applied GA in a range of astrophysical and cosmological problems. He is a Fellow and Director of Studies at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and a Director of Metropolis Data Consultants.

Paul ffolkes Davis Paul ffolkes DavisPaul ffolkes Davis has an MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford. Until recently his career had been spent in investment banking, mostly in corporate advisory and new issues. Important posts included eleven years as a Director of NM Rothschild & Sons Limited (1983-1994) and later stints as Managing Director and Global Head of Equity Capital Markets for both NatWest Markets and Rabobank International (1994-2000). After several years in advisory roles for leading 'boutiques', in September 2004 he joined Trinity Hall, a college of Cambridge University, as Bursar, where he is responsible for all aspects of the College's finances and investments.

Founders

Anthony Lasenby Professor Anthony Lasenby is the Head of Astrophysics Group in the Cavendish Laboratory. He has published widely on subjects from GA through to the early universe. He is co-author of the main textbook on geometric algebra, and gave the keynote address to the SIGGRAPH meeting in 2003 (the main annual conference for the computer graphics industry). He is a Fellow of Queens' College, Cambridge.

Joan Lasenby Dr Joan Lasenby is a Lecturer in Department of Engineering. She was one of the first to start applying GA to problems in Engineering and is now a leading expert in this subject. Together with Chris Doran she has organised two conferences on GA. She is a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge.

Alyn Rockwood Professor Alyn Rockwood currently holds a chair at Colorado School of Mines. He has an outstanding record in the field of computer graphics. In the 1970s he was one of the original developers of the NURBS scheme that is now ubiquitous in CAD packages. He has a number of patents, and in 2003 was chair of the SIGGRAPH. He has recently been appointed Vice President of ACM SIGGRAPH, providing high-level access to a large number of graphics and gaming companies.

David Hestenes Professor David Hestenes is emeritus Professor of Physics and Astronomy as Arizona State University. He is a highly respected academic and has been responsible for raising multi-million dollar grants for his physics education research programme. In 2001 he was awarded the prestigious Oersted medal for outstanding contribution to physics research. This puts him in the exalted company of previous winners such as Carl Sagan and Richard Feynman.
